THERMOCOUPLES
RTD

Many boiler skin thermocouple designs are available. The most versatile and normally used design is shown in the accompanying illustration. The pad is welded to the boiler tube with approximately 9" of the sheath parallel and adjacent. The sheath may then be bent for exit through the firebox wall. If necessary, expansion loops can be installed. Two weld clips are provided for retaining the sheath to the boiler tube. The clips are only welded to the tube, not the thermocouple sheath. By having the pad welded and the sheath adjacent with the boiler tube, the thermocouple becomes essentially a part of the tube mass. This provides negligible conduction error.

How to order:

Select a thermocouple design (T1, T2, or T3) and precede the part number with "SP." Provide the boiler tube radius, "R." Consult factory for complete part number.

Sheath diameter 3/16" OD recommended.
Sheath material 310 SS, Inconel 600, or Hastelloy recommended.

All ANSI calibrations are available.
Pad material is same as sheath or to specifications.
Pad dimensions = 1" x 1" x 1/8".
