Style R2 RTD design
consists of metallic tubing integrally attached
to a connection head in most cases by the
use of mounting fittings. Again, these types
of sensors are mainly designed for use with
thermowells that protect the RID and allow
for replacement of the sensor without a
subsequent shut down of the process. This
makes it an ideal candidate for petrochemical
and power applications.

for use with thermowells can be found in
the "Standard
Fitting's chart."
Many options are available
for the connection head. Standard conduit
connection is 3/4" NPT. The most
common configurations are outlined in
the Selection Chart.
